Teaching google to recognise anything from the real and virtual world

January 26, 2018

Crowdsource is an Android and Web app to help Google Machine Learning recognise all sort of object such as cars, mountains, fireplaces, cartoon but using crowd sourced data of volunteers from all around the world.

You are basically giving google free data to help improve its learning while doing a really boring and usefulness work… only if they didn’t introduce Levels, Stats and more importantly Badges or Achievements.

Just with those small features they can create a really addictive “game”, trying to get new badges every day. Side note: they have been using the same concepts with Google Maps local Guides.

Do you want to give it a try? Go on crowdsource.google.com
